The rules for accepting passport photos are demanding and they must be absolutely respected, otherwise your photos could be refused by the authorities. Today, the latter are increasingly vigilant about quality and the proper respect of numerous criteria.
Therefore, to be compliant, your passport or identity photo must be:
- net
- recent
- without fold
- without a trace
The standard size of a passport photo is 35 millimeters wide and 45 millimeters high. The size of the face must measure between 32 to 36 millimeters (or approximately 70 to 80% of the photo), from the bottom of the chin to the top of the skull (excluding hair). The photo should be neither overexposed nor underexposed.
