The Telstar lamp is inspired by the conquest of space in the 1960s. The Telstar's legs are made of chrome-plated cast metal, and are stamped with the Mathmos logo. Telstar bottles are filled by hand, in the UK Mathmos factory, with the unique and sustainable lava formula developed by Edward Craven Walker, our founder and inventor of the lava lamp. Each Telstar is separately inspected and tested to ensure the highest possible quality. Spare parts, including bulbs, are continuously available from Mathmos.
