Synopsis:

1814, HOKUSAI is a painter recognized throughout Japan. He lives with his daughter O-Ei in the city of Edo, locked up most of the time in their strange slum-like workshop. The “drawing madman”, as he liked to call himself, and his daughter created works with four hands that are now famous throughout the world. O-Ei, an independent and freedom-loving young woman, contributes in her father's shadow to this incredible artistic saga.
